FAQs

Q. You say that the inspiration for your main character, Sarah Grey, was your mother, so, was she psychic?

A. Yes, without question. My mother was a very private person, quiet and shy and never willingly revealed the fact to others. Only close friends and family were aware of it but, through them, she was able to help many strangers without ever meeting them. Sarah, unlike my mother, is more resigned to her mediumship and able to speak openly about it. Until I was 8-10 years old I accepted as normal my mothers propensity for  not only seeing when I was upset but knowing why and, without discussing it, advising me how to handle the situation. When it dawned on me that other mothers were not as all-seeing, I am ashamed to say that it embarrassed me – so I was only too willing to drop the odd piece of advice to friends without bringing her into it. Now I regret not asking her more questions about her amazing gift.

Q. Are you psychic too?

A. No not in the same way. I have heard a few otherwise inexplicable things since I was about eight years old.

Q. Were the things you heard as you grew up frightening? What kind of things happened?

A. Your question is similar to many I have been asked since I wrote an earlier answer, so I have written an account of as many as I can recall. You will find it under the heading ‘The Past’ (Top right menu bar)

Q. How do you manage to write and paint? Surely one or the other must be more important.

A. I prefer to paint during daylight hours but unless a commission is urgent, being semi retired, I can work at whichever suits my mood. Finishing book four, “Haunting Shades of Grey”, is taking presidence at the moment.
